With juicy media relations tips from Charles Mohan (Assignement Editor, NTV7), Puspavathy Ramaloo (Award winning journalist, TV3), Mazlinda Mahmood (Chief Correspondent NST) and Anne Edwards (need I say more), participants gave thumbs-up to the first ever Public Relations Boot Camp held recently at Eastin Hotel, Petaling Jaya.
On day 2, participants were exposed to a some what 'very real' crisis scenario and were thrown at the deep end. Forming two groups, one journalists and the other a corporate company dealing with a CEO charged with a sexual harassment suit by his secretary, teams first prepared a crisis communication plan and holding statements. They then had to face hard hitting questions from journalists. Participants also discussed on the recent KFC crisis, Domino's food scandal, BP Oil Spill and etc. Experienced trainer, M Krishnamoorthy, crisis communication expert Manminder Dhillon and senior journalist Puspavathy Ramaloo were the trainers for this session.
And finally on day 3, social media 101, with participants getting hands on knowledge on Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms. Awesome session with the awesome Julian Matthews.
